Cultural Centers

The Tufts campus is enriched by a diversity of cultural, ethnic, gender, national, racial, religious, sexual and socioeconomic class identities. The Cultural Centers, collectively known at Tufts as the "Group of Six", provide education on the value of these differences and ensure that bias of any form does not undermine the academic, personal, or professional experience of any member of the Tufts community.

The Center directors work with students on intellectual, leadership, and personal development and serve as advisors to integrate academic and co-curricular activities for the campus community. In conjunction with academic departments and offices, we cultivate an environment where diverse student backgrounds and philosophies are supported and valued. We serve on both Academic and Student Services Class teams that represent the concerns of a particular class year as well as on university committees addressing academic, climate and diversity issues.
