LGBT Center
The LGBT Center offers a safe, supportive environment for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender students, as well as for students who are questioning their sexuality or gender. Straight ally students are also a vibrant and welcomed part of the center, which provides programming, advising, and educational resources on issues of sexual and gender identity. In addition to providing campus-wide education aimed at combating homophobia, the center provides a number of peer-led support and discussion groups for students, peers who are available to talk to students, and a center director who helps students with personal issues, academic research, and leadership development. The LGBT Center works in close partnership with the other "Group of 6" centers on campus on a variety of leadership, social justice, and advocacy issues.
