Women's Center

Since 1972, the Women's Center has addressed matters of specific concern to women in order to create an atmosphere that is safe, supportive and intellectually rich. Students--women and men--are the heart of the Center. Our mission is to provide programming, counseling, information, and resources about women, men and gender that are informed by differences of race, ethnicity, culture, religion, sexual orientation, and socioeconomic class. Starting in 1999, the Women's Center has housed the Tufts University Campus Violence Prevention Project (CVPP), a grant funded project from the Department of Justice, Office of Violence Against Women totaling in over $1.3 million in grant awards.
